A Link-in-Bio Page You Own, Without a Monthly Fee

The classic link-in-bio tools are convenient, but almost all of them put your page on their domain and charge a recurring fee once you go past a handful of links or want to remove their branding. For a page you'll link from every platform bio, that's a strange thing to rent forever.

A link-in-bio page is just an HTML file. There's no technical reason it needs to be a hosted service — a name, a short bio, an avatar, an accent color, and a list of links is simple enough to be a single downloadable page you host yourself.

Hosting it yourself is easier than it sounds. Free static hosting (like a GitHub Pages site, or a subdirectory on a site you already run) can serve a single HTML file with a real, permanent URL. Once it's uploaded, it works exactly like any hosted link-in-bio tool, minus the monthly bill and the "powered by" badge.

What to include, and what to leave out. Your most important 4-6 links (latest video, newsletter, shop, socials) beat a wall of twelve links nobody scrolls through. Reorder them whenever your priority changes — a new launch should sit at the top for a few weeks, then move back down.

Update it as often as your content changes. A link-in-bio page that still points to a promotion from three months ago costs you conversions every single day it's stale.
